I have been a licensed clinician for 23 years and have had four different Medical Billing Companies handle my billing. My first experience spoiled me as she billed immediately and chased down the patients who owed me money and usually got me paid in a timely manner. After 5 years with her, she retired and I had to get another billing service. I went through 3 different companies before finding MEDCARE Billing Service. Having a private practice with between 35-40 patients weekly I can send them my patient journals for a day’s work and know they will bill in a timely manner and stay on the case until I get paid. When there have been rejections, they follow through with why that is the case and make the necessary changes so that I get paid when they resubmit the claims. They have also billed patients who owe me copays or deductibles and get me paid!
The bottom line is I can do what I am paid to do which is conduct psychotherapy, trusting they will deal with the insurance providers and get me paid. They always respond to my emails right away and notify me if they need anything from me.
